Video of Stealth Bomber flying overhead

Here’s a very short video of the Stealth (B-2) Bomber flying over yesterday’s Rose Parade:
It was really quiet as it approached, but louder as it flew away. No matter how many times I see this, it’s still really cool. It seemed pretty close from the 9th floor.
Here are some interesting Stealth Bomber facts from Wikipedia:
- The total program cost, which includes development, engineering, and testing, averaged US$2.1 billion per aircraft.
- A procurement of 132 aircraft was planned in the mid-1980s, but this was later reduced to 75. Yielding to budgetary pressures and congressional opposition, in his 1992 State of the Union Address, President George H.W. Bush announced total B-2 production would be limited to 20 aircraft. This reduction was largely a result of the disintegration of the Soviet Union, which effectively rendered void the Spirit’s primary Cold War mission.
- The high development costs also reflect the inefficiencies of separating design teams into different parts of the country for reasons of both design intelligence compartmentalization as a counter-espionage measure, and as a political measure to create lucrative jobs manufacturing different constituent parts of the plane in a variety of Congressional districts across the United States.
As cool as I think the Stealth is, I don’t think it’s worth the cost.
Instead of flying over the start of the parade, the aircraft flew over at exactly 9:00 a.m. Did someone forget what time the parade started???
I always get cold chills when I see the stealth bomber. Then I remember that it’s a weapon of mass destruction and I get a different kind of chill.

Our photographer, Mike Arvizu, said a “white suiter” told him just before the start of the parade that the B2 would be delayed until 9:10 a.m. because there had been ice on its wings at its scheduled take-off time.
I’ve seen it fly over our heads a a previous parade; both times I was struck by how silent it is while it’s directly above you; we didn’t hear it until it was a few blocks past our reviewing stand on Orange Grove at Colorado. It could definitely sneak up on a target.
What they were saying on Channel 5 of the parade is the reason the Stealth was late was they had to de-ice the wings and it took longer than anticipated. Right after it flew over the parade, it turned back and flew over the Angeles Crest Mountains, I am assuming towards Edwards AF base, but it flew right over our house.
I think the Stealth looks like something out of batman. But I guess the place I struggle is how easily the military is just included into our national and world celebrations. Parades, jets, football games, more jets, etc. It is almost seamless.
Thanks, Susan. And you’re right: we don’t have actual “military” parades like in the old Soviet Union, but they are integrated into our parades and festivals. As my blog showed, there was a big deal made out of the Marines at Bandfest. I wonder if this is true in other countries?
It scares me too. I saw it flying over Pasadena earlier in December for the funeral of Verne Orr, who used to be secretary of the Air Force. I didn’t know why it was flying over at the time, however…it didn’t seem right that it would be practicing for the parade by flying north over Los Robles.

If we can’t welcome the people who sacrifice on our behalf, to the point of being willing to give their lives, we wouldn’t have much to celebrate. This is reality life. Some people have to grow up & accept it’s fine to be for peace, love, etc., and still love/respect your fellow citizens/neighbors who make the sacrificial decision to protect that peace/love in world that is so much unlike our own. It’s a balanced world view, a knowing there are 2 sides to the coin, that the deal in our own lives come with pluses & minuses.
To me it’s spooky simply becuz it reminds me of how much of the world governs their peoples, outside our borders. And, a reason why many peoples are drawn to live in our nation – the international country..
My sense is that the military is integrated into the parade no differently than many other common facets of our culture: firefighters, police, civic leaders, actors, dancers, animals, animal trainers, many companies that sponsored floats, many cities that also sponsored floats, volunteer groups, hobby groups, high schools, colleges, boy scouts, girl scouts, pretty high school girls, and regular citizens just having a good time. The military is a necessary piece of our culture, and their presence in parades and festivals seems perfectly appropriate to me.
The military is a necessary piece of our culture? Its necessary because we give money to countries like Israel, Iran, Iraq, etc. We pay for their wars. We create wars for ourselves. Its a business, nothing more, nothing less. Its liek a fireman starting fires so he stays in business. We dont really have a need for it… killing millions of innocent people. Debrorah, you sound like you watch too much television programming. The keyword is “programming”. Youve been programed to think we need war and violence for our culture to rotate. You should study neuro-linguistic programming sometime and understand how everything around us is just mind control.
Look at all the people who voted for Obama. They know very well he cant legally be president, but they voted for him anyways. His dad was born in Kenya which already makes the president elects win void. You need a Natural Born Citizen to be president, not a naturalized citizen and not a “native born” citizen as Obama likes to call himself. What you need, based on the Constitution is a US born mom + a US born dad + a USA born president elect = to equal a natural born citizen who can run for the presidency. Do we have it? Nope. His daddy was born in Kenya in 1936. Whats it all mean?
It means this country has been hijacked a long time ago by the global elite… people like Oprah, Obama, Bush, Cheney… these arent the worlds elite.. these are their henchmen. Im talking about higher ups like the Rockefeller’s, Rothschild’s, etc. The phony Bush election 8 years ago should have a been a tip off to everyone that something in this country isnt right. These bailouts going on all around us should be a tip off something isnt right, but youre so programmed and so is everyone else, that no one is standing up against all of this. Why arent we standing up? Theyve poisoned our food with fluoride, GMO genetically modified foods. We’re literally stuck and are once again slaves to the masters, but without chains. Its the ultimate scheme on all humans. Do some research… why are governments trying to create seed banks funded by the likes of Monsanto? Its not to save us, its to control us. He who controls the food, controls the world. Im sure the Ukrainians of the 30′sand 40s know all about that. Or that Planned Parenthood was founded by a eugenicist (Sanger). Its not that she wanted to give women a choice, no, she wanted poor women to kill their babies so better children would populate the world. Sounds a lot like Hitler and his eugenics program to me.
